Experienced Native British English Teacher

My Background: I started my working career in sales, marketing and then IT support in the financial and medical industries before moving to the Czech Republic and becoming an English teacher back in 2014.
I like to think of myself as a lifelong student and aspire to be a ‘renaissance’ man. What this means as a teacher is that there are many different subjects and areas from science, the arts, culture, history, philosophy… that I have a diverse knowledge on and can discuss and I always want to learn more. This knowledge also comes from the variety of students I have taught in different industries from scientists, engineers, lawyers, doctors, directors, executives, academics, psychologists and so on.
Since I was around eight years old I have been training in acting and since moving to the Czech Republic started to engage in the theatre scene as an actor, director and also founded my own theatre company. I have been lucky enough to start working in Film, television and voice acting and find that a lot of the skills used here are also great for teaching, especially when it comes to presenting, communication skills and confidence building.
Why choose me? Since 2014 I have developed and refined my own methodology, resources for tracking development and helped companies as well as individuals reach their goals.
What I offer are practical and targeted classes where we focus on exactly what you want and need to improve, rather than just studying a textbook together.
What extras are there? We set and track your goals with a ‘student plan’, list homework and class topics.
We also have a ‘student diary’ where we work on vocabulary, pronunciation, phrasal verbs, I note down the error correction and include any class notes and recommendations. You can access these anytime through Google drive for reference or to add your own materials. When and where do I teach? I live in Michle and generally teach within the centre of Prague. I also teach remotely and generally between 08:00 – 20:00 weekdays and sometimes on weekends. I am also quite flexible and can move classes to meet your needs.
